Fun weekend!!

This past weekend was lots of fun. Natalie, Joe, and their cousins, Eddie, and Jeanie had put together a Haunted Trail and threw a Halloween party. The Haunted Trail was on Friday night and you'd go through it and people would jump out and scare you. It was fun, and spooky. Next year Anthony and I will definitely have to help scare.

Saturday night was the Halloween party. I went as a chocolate chip cookie. On the cookie it said "Got Milk?" and for some strange reason people only read the got milk part and thought that I was a cow.

Sunday night was the Hittle Pumpkin carving night. We carved pumpkins last night which was lots of fun.:) I will have to get pictures from Natalie from the last night and the previous two nights so that you can see all the fun we had.

When you say you love me

"When you say you love me"... a line from the song When You Say You Love Me by Josh Groban. This was one of the songs I listened to from his cd Closer. I was thinking to myself on my way home from Muskegon... When I say "I love you" to Anthony, and he says "I love you too", does he mean it or is he just saying it just to get it over with? The song that Josh sing ends with the line... "when you say you love me, do you know that I love you"... That's what I think when Anthony says "I love you" to me.

Anyway that is what I thought about on my way home... Have a good night and sorry for the shortish note.

Life is busy

To your left is Kari's birthday present from our parents. Her new bunny... His name is Willy.

He's really cute and soft. I wouldn't want a bunny though... I wouldn't have time to take care of it, but at least she is happy with her new bunny.

I've been working so much lately. Let's see this week I think I racked up 30+ hrs... So my next paycheck will be another nice one.

Just relaxed

Today was one of those nice days where I was able to just relax and I didn't have to worry about anything. I enjoyed it quite immensely. I got up around 9:45 and played The Sims 2 for a while. Got sick of that and went on a nice quick run.

It was raining all day today... unfortunately. While I was running around the neighborhood the only words that came to mind were,

"Holy Spirit rain down. Oh Comforter and friend, how we need your touch again... Holy Spirit rain down, rain down. Let your power fall, let your voice be heard, come and change our hearts as we fall on Your word... Holy Spirit rain down."

God sends the rain to nourish the earth, and he sent the Holy Spirit back until we can all be together again. That was going through my head during my morning run today.

... 4:15-4:30pm rolls around...

Alex and Kelsey are home from their dad's house.

..5:00pm rolls around...

Katie is back from spending the weekend with my mom at my grandmother's cabin up at Little Bass Lake...

...6:15pm rolls around...

Dinner time... we had burritos for dinner. They were so good!! *grins*

DUN DUN DUN DONE.................FOOD FIGHT.......................... We threw grapes at each other for a good 10-15 minutes. Kelsey and Aunt Kate ganged up on Alex, and I was laughing really hard... Kelsey threw the first couple grapes, but they all say that I did... which I did not. I wish I had a video camera like they do on t.v. to go back to the beginning to see who really did THROW the first grape.

All in all this has been a really great very relaxing day. Hope you all had a relaxing weekend and have a terrific week!!

A relaxing day.

Today has been nice and relaxing so far. I woke up around 9:30 this morning. Played the Sims 2 for a while. [my family had 3 kids already and then they had twins... oh bother]... and so that's been a lot of fun, but the parents are really tired.... lol.

I finally decided on a name for my betta.... drum roll please..... his name is EDDIE!! Yep, he's pretty sweet looking. I cleaned his fish bowl today cuz it was all cloudy like... bleck...

Tomorrow I work, and then Friday and Saturday. I get to sleep over at Natalie and Joey's tomorrow cuz I have to work at 6am in the morning again on Friday. That paycheck is gonna be so nice... *grins* Saturday I work my usual shift. They wanted me to work today, but I said no. I don't think that they were very happy with me, but I've already picked up two extra shifts for them.

Anyway have a good afternoon/night. I'm hanging out w. my boyfriend tonight. He's coming over here to my house.

Busy, busy, busy

Wow, I've been so busy these last couple days.
Today for example, I went for lunch with a friend.
He owed me lunch for a bet we made a while ago...
Tonight I met another friend for dinner. We went
to culture camp here in Grand Rapids for years
together when we were kids, and we've still stayed
in touch... :-)
Tomorrow I am going to for dinner with another
guy friend from Muskegon... I'm so busy.

PLUS.... this coming week I'm working 24 extra hrs
on top of my 20 hrs... Hope I last... *crosses fingers*

I miss him...

I miss this silly boy!! I'm missing him like crazy. I don't think I miss him as much as I did when he was in Ohio for 7 months, but it's close... I miss his hugs and kisses... AGH!!!! I want Sunday to come right now!!!

Sorry.... I'm just really missin' my boy!!

My Fish

So I bought a betta fish today.
He's bluish and has a redish face.
He needs a name... Will you help me?!

If my digital camera was working I could
take a picture of him and show him off to
the world, but it's not, so I can't show him off...
Sad day, I know, but what can I do...

He's not quite sure what to think about his new house.
When I get my next paycheck I need to buy a fake plant
for his little bowl. I think that would make him a bit
happier.

So I've been up since 6:30 this morning. I went for
coffee with Heidi De Jonge from my church. She's a
pastor over at Calvin Theological Seminary here in Grand
Rapids. We went to Beaner's at 8am this morning, and I
was going to get a Caramel Cider, but they were out of
cider [grr...] so I told them that they were "fired." The
manager felt bad so he gave me his business card and on the
back... "Good for 1 free beverage." Ha ha... I thought that
was pretty funny. Heidi thought so too.. So I will definitely
be using that sometime.

Heidi told me that Beaner's is going to change it's name to
something different, but I forget what the new name is going to
be. 'Beaner' is a derogatory name for Hispanic immigrants, and
they told the company that, so the company is going to change
the name.
