The two books shown in pictures are two books you should consider adding to your "Must Read" list. Teach With Your Heart, a book by Erin Gruwell, the teacher that works with the Freedom Writers from Long Beach, CA. It's her memoir that ties everything up from the book, to the movie. It's an amazing book. One of those books, where I was reading and I didn't want to have to put it down because I had to drive to work, or had to go whatever. [side note: mind you there are a few cuss words in it, but other than that, it's not too bad]
Zlata's Diary was the modern day's Anne Frank Diary. Another amazing book. I couldn't put this book down either. Anne Frank called her diary Kitty, but I'm not going to tell you what Zlata called her diary. You will just have to believe me that it's a good book, and pick it up for yourself.

Life is good. This weekend went by too quickly, but then again I was working, so I didn't really have a weekend... Oh well, least I made money, although I didn't work on Saturday due to a migraine [:-p...yucky]...
Today I got a tooth put on my implanted screw, and I don't like the feeling of it. I haven't had a tooth there for over 6 months, and it feels strange... *sigh* Anyway I'll get over it eventually.
I work tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday. Off on Friday through Sunday, and back to work on Monday. Sunday is a birthday party for Austin, Alex and Nathan. Should be a fun time hopefully...
Anyway have a great week!! :)

Sick of snow!
I am sick of snow. It's beautiful for the first
few snowfalls, but now I'm sick of it!!
Pray for my grandma as she slipped and fell
on Sunday from the ice that fell on
Saturday night. She broke her leg just
above her prosthetic knee. She had a metal
plate and a few screws put into place Monday
night. So pray that she heals up well.
Other than snow, life is going pretty well.
I'm working a lot which is nice of course. Keeps
me busy. Aunt Kate came down here this
morning and woke me up saying I had to work
8:00am. I asked her what day it was and she's
like Wednesday. I had to work at 8:00am
yesterday. Lol. I just laughed at her, and told her
not to give me a "heart attack"...
Anyway have a great day and I will write again soon!!

Jobs...
I've been thinking about my job a lot lately.
I've been working since I was 15 years old.
I started at Rest Haven Retirement Home
down in Holland in the food services dept.
I loved it there. I got to know what the
residents liked and disliked. I knew them
on a personal level...
I worked there for 5 years.
Then I moved to Muskegon and wanted a
different job. So I got a job at Michigan's
Adventure during the summer of '06.
It was fun at times, but it sucked at times too.
The managers treated everyone like 4 and 5
year olds. There was even one point during the
summer when I just wanted to walk off the
premise of the amusement park and call it quits.
But I didn't.
Then I search for a job for 5 months and finally landed
one at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon. I loved that job.
The patients were friendly [at times.]. The staff was
friendly [at times]. The co-workers were friendly [at
times]. There were a few co-workers I couldn't stand
though. The co-workers that would laugh in your face
knowing you were doing something wrong, and they
wouldn't even help you fix it. Those were the co-workers
I cringed when I had to work with them.
I finally moved to Grand Rapids and moved in with my
Aunt Kate and her girls, Alex and Kelsey. It was one of the
best decisions ever!! I still worked at Hackley for 4 months.
I would drive from Grand Rapids to Muskegon to work for 4
hours and drive all the way back to Grand Rapids. Kinda
pathetic I know.
I finally quit working at Hackley in December of '07. I got a
new job doing the same type of thing only it was a lot closer to
home.
I got a job working at Metro Health on Byron Center Ave and
M-6 and I love it!! I love the new hospital [even though I've
never been to the old one.]. My co-workers are great [and they
do not laugh in your face when you do something wrong!]!! They
actually help you fix it. :-)
Yeah, so that's what I've done for the last 7 years of my "working
career".
Have a great day and be safe on the roads!! God bless!

Yuck-o
So WZZM 13 news says that we're suppose
to get at least 4-8" of snow between tonight
and daybreak tomorrow morning!! UGH!!
I'm so sick of snow!! I want spring to come;
nice warm weather. No more snow!!
Anyway stay safe tomorrow if you have to
drive places. I have to drive out to Metro
Health and work... *gulp* I hate winter
driving too!!

Nice and relaxing
This past weekend was nice and relaxing. I didn't have to be at work, and I got to hang out with my family. :) I got to see an old friend from Heritage Camp from a long time ago. We've stayed in touch throughout the years, which is nice.
Yup, life is good. I think that I'm all relaxed up and ready for another week of work, which starts tomorrow. :)
Anyway have a good week!!
God Bless!
