Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Today is my birthday for approximately 54 minutes still.

Merry Christmas [1 day late...oops]

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas. The photo to your left is the Christmas photo of Anthony and myself. I can't believe that in a month a couple days we'll have been dating for 2 years!! :-O

Let's see... this year I got a really cute puffy black vest, the Disney movie Ratatouille, a cashmere scarf, amber earrings [both the scarf and earring from Uncle Tom, of course.], True Star perfume by Beyonce Knowles, Carrie Underwood's "Carnival Ride" cd, and the Reba Duets cd. Then from my parents I got a new digital camera!! [*does a little happy dance*] I've been wanting a new one for a while now. From Kari I got the Kellie Pickler's, "Small Town Girl" cd, and from Austin, Josh Groban's, "Awake" cd. Anthony got me the Ab Lounge Sport chair. [the one you see on TV... I've wanted it for a while, so I'm excited.. plus I used it for a bit last night, and my abs are a bit sore this morning...]

Anywho I hope that you all had great Christmas' and have a happy new year, cuz I can't promise that I'll write here before 2008...

Wow, where did this week go?!

It's already Friday!!! That's craziness.
I don't have to work again till Monday
morning at 8am. That'll be nice. :)

I love my job over at Metro Health.
The people are so nice. The managers
are super nice. People don't laugh in
your face when you do something wrong!!

I trained w. a co-worker on Tuesday and
Wednesday, and then yesterday I was all
by myself. I thought it was gonna be really
tough doing it by myself, but it was really
easy!!

Anyway I hope that everything is going well
for you. I need to get ready for the day and run
a couple errands... Have a great day!!!

Metro is gonna be awesome!!

Orientation was today at Metro Health from 8:00am-4:00pm.
I'm tired. It was a long day w. lots of information... it was well
worth information though... Just a lot, a lot of information!!

I start my training in the kitchen tomorrow. I work from 11:30am
to 7:00-7:30pm...

The Elevator Story

Yesterday was my very last day at Hackley Hospital. I was excited. I didn't want to go in at ALL!!

I had a cart full of patient trays to deliver. There is an elevator at Hackley that can bring staff and/or patients/family members straight to the ICU/Peds wing of the hospital. I had a tray for the PEDs wing. So I walked down the long hallway towards the elevator. I pushed the 3 button [for floor 3 cuz ICU/Peds is on the 3rd floor]... I thought that I was on the 3rd floor when all of a sudden...... the elevator completely STOPPED going.

I tried pushing the "open door" button... nothing... I tried pushing the "3" button... still nothing. Then I started to get really panicked like in movies when people think their going to be trapped in the elevator type thing.

I started hitting the "emergency call" button... I pounded on the door hoping that someone would hear me. I then heard a nurse's voice from the other side of the door saying, "we're trying to get you out."

By then I was already on the verge of tears. Finally the elevator got to the first floor and I heard a male's voice. He asked me how I was doing. I said, "Not so great, I'm claustrophobic."

He got me out. He helped me out and I sat down on the ground and sobbed for like 10 minutes. A security guard came down and took my name and my employee ID #, and then got me a bottle of water.

I was still shaken up by the time I left work around 7:30 pm... When I got out of the elevator it was 6:45pm... I must have been stuck for at least a half hour...

Anyway that's my story... Hope you have better luck w. elevators than I did last night!

The countdown is... 2 days left!!

I can't wait till my career at Hackley is over. It's been a lot of fun, but today was an awful day... Ugh... I was starter on the line getting the trays put up on the line so that they could be delivered to the patients and etc... Well this co-worker of mine was joking around w. me and we always tease each other. One of my managers asked me to stay later... and I said, "yes." Well then one of my other co-workers who was suppose to be passing trays only was "helping" on the line, but not really...
Well I missed a salt and pepper on the tray, and she got so pissed at me and said that I needed to use the high lighter or else. I said, "NO!" Then the jerk of a co-worker told my manager on me. How can I honestly get into trouble 2 days before my last day?! I then told my manager that I didn't want to stay and work tonight. Especially after the way my co-worker treated me...
So that was my day. I hope that you had a better day and have a great weekend!!!

Today is Aunt Kate's birthday. She's 43. Yup, that is all I have to say... Good bye for now!

Wow! Decemeber is already here. That's craziness!!! I'm not ready for snow, wetness, and coldness yet... But unfortunately there's not much I can do about it...
