Warning: This might be a tear-jerker

I was cleaning up my room tonight. Just tiding up a bit. I came across a journal that I had purchased when I was in Korea back in 2003.

You open to the first page and it reads, "Private Journal! Please DO NOT read! Thank You." I turned the page and it was letters that I had written to my birth mother.

Letters to her that she will never see. Letters saying how much I miss her, and how much I had wished that I had stayed in Korea with her. Always ending with the same ending 'love, Ha Na.'

"Tuesday 10-7-03
Dear Mee Ran~
I'm part of an adoption support group at school.
Mrs. Kwantes asked me to talk about it. I said that I
would try. I said I would try because I cry every time I
try talking about you. You're so precious to me. I'm afraid
that if lots of people know about you; they'll act differently
in front of me.
Love, Ha Na"

The letters go on, and state other things as well. I miss her. I miss my older sister and brother. I got a bunch of pictures from them when I was over there. I lost the bag that I always kept in my purse with those pictures. It's been gone now for about a year and a half. I have no idea where it is.

Sick of the heat!!

I am sick of the heat, and this weekend is only suppose to get worse. It's suppose to be in the 90s this weekend!! Boo!!

It's my Uncle Tom's birthday today. I called him and wished him a happy birthday. It was good talking to him. I haven't seen him since June when he was here for my grandparents' anniversary. So we talked, and it was good. I miss him, and having him so far away and only seeing him during Christmas time is tough.

I also talked to my best friend Carissa yesterday. She left for Puerto Rico on Monday and she's going to grad school down there. I hope that she enjoys herself down there. I know that I will miss her terribly. Once I get a full-time job and some money and some vacation time saved up, I want to fly down there and spend a few days with her.

Anyway I hope that you have a great rest of your week and a relaxing weekend. I am spending the weekend in Holland with my family and boyfriend. I think it'll be the first weekend the whole family has been home this entire summer. That's craziness!!

ps. Anthony and I have been dating 2 1/2 years as of today.

I hope that everyone had a good weekend.
It went by to quickly in my personal opinion.

Yesterday I was not scheduled to work at the
hospital, so I told Natalie like a week and a
half ago that I would babysit Elora so that
her and Joe could go out for dinner and
celebrate their anniversary that was this
past Thursday. So I went to Muskegon and
played with Elora while they headed to G.R.
to celebrate.

Joe and Natalie came home around 7:30ish
and we [Anthony, Elora and I] were all hanging
out in the living room.

So then we decided that we would go play mini-
golf and go see a movie. Natalie and I both want
to see Mamma Mia, but Anthony was a no-go on
that idea... [darn kid!!] So we went to the movie,
The Dark Knight. It was an awesome movie! But
there were definitely some scary parts in it. I
jumped a couple times. Lol.... Thankfully Anthony
was right there next to me.

Busy day tomorrow.

Tomorrow [Thursday] is going to be a busy day. I've got a few errands to run, and then have to make my way down to Holland for dinner at Pizza Hut.

Anyway hope things are going well for everyone!

Mom and Kari are home, but Dad and Austin are gone.

Mom and Kari came home last week Monday from being gone for 17 days,
and Dad and Austin left on Friday for a week or so on a missions trip to
the Yucatan Peninsula down in Mexico to work with John and Shirley
Wind. The family is going in every direction and I'm just stuck in MI
doing nothing but work... :-( I think once I get a full time job, I'll take a
mini-vacation too. Lol...

Never pass up taking a dare by an 11-year-old cousin..

Aunt Kate, Kelsey, and I were all watching t.v. in
the living room earlier tonight. Kesley was singing
goofy songs, and it was driving Aunt Kate and
myself a bit crazy. Kelsey piped up, "I dare you
to duct-tape my mouth shut..." So I asked Aunt Kate
where the duct tape was, and proceed to duct tape
her mouth shut. One thing led to another and pretty
soon her arms were taped to the end table and her
ankles.

After about 30 minutes of struggling, we finally gave
in and found scissors and cut her loose, but it was fun
while it lasted!!!

Fun times up north!

Anthony and I were invited to spend the 4th of July weekend up north near Ludington w. Joe, Natalie, and Joe's family up at their cabins this weekend. It was fun as always. Although the mosquitoes were absolutely horrible. Natalie called me "one big mosquito bite." She said that she had never seen more bites on a person than me. Oh goodness.

Anthony and I got up to the cabin around 11:30pm Thursday night. Friday a bunch of us went on a 4-hour canoe trip down some river by our cabins. That's where I got bit the most. Saturday we went on the quads and went mud running. It was fun, but DIRTY!! Then we watched fireworks. After fireworks we went back to the cabins and pulled out Jello shots that Joe made, and stuff to make hobo pies.... Mmm...

It was a great weekend, and I can't wait to go up again.

Happy July!!

Happy July!! It's crazy to think that it's July already!!

Okay, I admit it. I really really really want my mommy
to come home. I miss not being able to talk to her every
other plus or minus day.
