As the Lenten season continues...

As the Lenten season continues, in the back of my head,
I am constantly thinking about how great our Lord, and Savior was.
To come down to a sin filled world. To live among us, and then to give
the ultimate sacrifice, his own life. For me, for you, and the rest of the world.

The song, The Power of the Cross, is one of my new favorite
"Easter" songs. It's such an amazing song.

Missing her.

I miss her. Her being my birth mother.

I don't really get emotional about talking about her as much as I used to, but Tuesday I was talking with a couple of my co-workers about Korea and such, and I could hear my voice cracking as I talked.

This morning as I was getting ready for work, I found the gold wedding band she gave me when I met her, and I wore it today. I'm not sure why I feel so sad right now, but I miss her so much.

People don't understand, but I don't care. It's hard to understand something this huge.

The weekend is here!

The weekend is here, and I have to work.
Only today though, so it's not too bad,
but it's only a 4-hr shift... unfortunately.



The picture above is Elora and her new baby brother.
I stopped by for a visit on Thursday b/c otherwise I
wouldn't have been able to see them until next weekend.
Elora isn't quite sure what to think of Jacob.

I think that she secretly loves him, but she won't admit it,
yet anyway... She is still unsure of whether she likes him
or not. I asked her if she liked him when I saw her on Thursday
and she was like, "I don't know."

The newest addition to the Lucht family... :-)

Meet Jacob Michael Lucht.
Born March 16, 2009 at 3;45 pm.
Weighing in at 10 lbs 7 oz.
21 inches long.

Fun Day

Today I went to Holland to go to church with my parents.
We went to Red Robin for lunch. It was weird going to
lunch with just them. But it was fun.

They have some of the best fries ever!! I love them. :-)

Happy Birthday Austin!!

Today is Austin's 17th birthday. I wanted to wish
him one. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUSTIN!!

I can't believe that he's 17 already. Time goes by
so fast. I remember the day we picked him up
from the airport on a hot July day in 1992.

I remember going back to our apartment in Virgina
and feeding him is morning bottles, and changing
his diapers [except the poopy ones.]

So once again, Happy Birthday Austin!! You've
grown up into an awesome younger brother!
